Orchid Beach!
Orchid Beach is a secluded residential and holiday destination located on the North East coast of Fraser Island near the ever popular Waddy Point. Orchid Beach is a perfect area for a beach holiday due to the fact that it faces north, this enables the beach to be free from strong winds most of the year. Because this area is 4WD access only, it makes this destination a much sort after oasis, away from the holiday day tourers and buses that frequent the southern section of the island. This area is surrounded by National Parks from the Sandy Cape to Indian Head and is a great place to start your next adventure whether that be bushwalking, 4WD driving or fishing in the great Marloo Bay. Orchid Beach consists of various holiday rentals, a small number of local residents and a local shop called the Orchid Beach Trading Post. The shop will supply all your basic needs including public phone, ATM, fuel, bait and groceries. Alcohol can be purchased from the licensed bar.
